A worthy couple...David and Lori Emr
I'm submitting on behalf of 2 of the most gracious and strong people I know; my brother David and his wife, Lori. I've watched them leave to foreign lands allowing missionaries to take a break, open their home to families who needed a place to stay, reach out to neighborhood kids, and work through the unbearable pain of losing one child, and almost losing another child two years later. David and Lori humbly serve, give, and encourage those who surround them. After their long awaited return home fron the hospital for the last six months, david and Lori are excited to welcome home their latest edition, Jude, who was born 14 weeks premature. Jude, like his parents, has shown a tenacity that is found only in those that are able to overcome those seemingly insurmountable challenges in life. I can't say that life has returned to "normal" for them, but even so this family is already back in action helping at their church and being an encouragement to anyone who is lucky enough to cross their paths.
Â
No doubt a reliable vehicle would be a huge blessing for them, but it would also nserve as an encouragement to them as they get back on the road to normalcy, and normalcy for them is making a difference in other people's lives, mine included. At the moment they are nursing along two vehicles that have reached the age of needing constant repair. More than once, both vehicles have left them stranded, and one of those times it was lori with their kids and someone they didn't know that they had driven two hours to meet, gave them a ride home. Dave and lori need a vehicle that is reliable, fuel effecient, safe, and has plenty of storage space as they'll have future long trips to do Jude's checkup and Doctors visits. The Subaru Crosstrek would be a great fit for their needs. Thank you Colonial Volkswagen Subaru for making this awesome gift possible, and if my opinion counts, I think this would be just the awesome couple thjat could use such a gift.
